Join Kim Searle and members of Shakespeare’s Shadows for a 2 hour workshop and a show onstage! Learn who Mr. William Shakespeare was and what all the fuss is about… Work like an actor, participate in theatre games and warm up exercises. Speak the speech trippingly on your tongue. Get on your feet and into the story. Have fun exploring The Taming of The Shrew and then show off for your friends and family! Ages 10 – 18
Kim Searle is the founder and artistic director of the highly successful youth theatre company, Shakespeare’s Shadows. She has been teaching Shakespeare to children since 2003. This September she is offering a class through The Refinery Arts and Spirit Centre, ‘Shakespeare on Your Feet: Beginners’.

The Meewasin Valley Centre presents “Would you believe?” Puppets in the Park. That’s right; Meewasin interpreters will be coming to the Children’s Arts Festival! Through an interactive presentation, the interpreters (with a little help from some furry friends) bring the natural and cultural history of our great city to life.

Warren from Balloon Funn, with more than 15 years experience, is Saskatoon’s best balloon twister. Ten years ago he began twisting balloons professionally and since then he has performed at schools, staff parties, shopping malls, church functions, and get well gatherings.
